Daily Drug Detox Schedule
Many people are interested in knowing what a day in rehab looks like. Looking at a drug detox schedule can give you a better idea of what to expect while in rehab. While each day can be structured differently, there are some general activities that occur every day as part of a treatment plan.
Depending on the program and facility, your treatment plan may include a wide variety of different offerings such as therapy, addiction education, and medication management. Each portion of treatment is designed to help with substance abuse issues and help you on your journey to recovery.
What Is a Typical Day in Rehab Like?
Before joining treatment for substance abuse, many people wonder “What do you do in rehab all day?” While the answer may vary slightly from one treatment center to the next, a quality rehab program will include services such as detoxification, individual and group therapy sessions, medication management, and education on addiction and mental health disorders. Likewise, it’s common for inpatient rehab centers to have set meal times, bedtimes, and other routines that can help structure the day. These routines can be beneficial in helping you stay focused and on track with your treatment plan.
In addition to the therapeutic aspects of a typical day in rehab, you also have plenty of downtime to relax and reflect on your progress. During this time, you can participate in activities such as art, music, meditation, journaling, reading, or games. Many facilities provide resources to promote physical fitness and healthy lifestyle habits like exercise equipment and recreational areas.
While no two days in rehab are exactly alike, it’s important to remember that every activity and experience has been carefully chosen to help you progress toward sobriety. For this reason, it is necessary to fully engage and participate in your treatment plan to ensure a successful recovery.
What Does a Alcohol and Drug Detox Schedule Look Like?
In general, the different aspects of your alcohol or drug detox schedule will all work toward the goal of strengthening the tools you need to successfully transition back into society following successful completion of treatment.
To facilitate your detoxification and healing process, experienced counselors, therapists, and medical professionals will apply their extensive experience in helping people of all backgrounds overcome challenges in addiction treatment and recovery.

What To Expect During Drug or Alcohol Rehab At Royal Life Centers
At The Haven, we understand that the road to recovery can be difficult and overwhelming. That is why we are dedicated to providing comprehensive, evidence-based treatment in a safe and secure environment. Throughout treatment in our inpatient rehab, our clinicians work closely with each individual to develop a unique treatment plan that tailors their drug detox schedule to meet their needs and goals.
What To Expect During Detox
Upon entering detox, our clinicians will conduct an initial assessment to determine the level of care your loved one needs. Through this assessment, we can create an individualized treatment plan that will ensure you get the best possible care.
After determining the severity of your addiction, our trained and experienced nurses will develop an individualized drug detox schedule that focuses on your unique treatment needs. Our clinical staff will ensure that your stay is as comfortable and safe as possible, providing medications to manage withdrawal symptoms when necessary. Furthermore, our compassionate staff will provide emotional support throughout the entire process.
Once your withdrawal symptoms have been stabilized, you will start participating in evidence-based therapies during individual and group sessions. In individual therapy, you can work closely with your therapist to develop important coping skills and build healthy habits that will help you long after treatment is over.
Our group therapy provides you with the ability to connect with others who are going through similar experiences and learn from each other’s journeys. You’ll have the chance to receive feedback and learn more about yourself by interacting with the other guests in your group.
Throughout your time in detox, you can also take smoke breaks during your free time in between therapy sessions. Also during free time, guests can go to the gym (inpatient program only), watch TV or a movie, play Xbox, read, play card games or tabletop games, sit outside, practice yoga, or socialize.
During detox, therapy is mandatory unless the guest is medically unable to attend.
In these cases, a member of our medical staff will issue a medical pass.
What To Expect During Residential Treatment
Throughout inpatient rehab, you will continue participating in individual and group therapy. Our addiction treatment counselors will incorporate education on addiction, mental health, and relapse prevention into your schedule. These services will teach you valuable skills to better cope with cravings, triggers, and emotional challenges.
After transitioning into our residential inpatient portion of treatment, we also offer the opportunity to incorporate virtual family therapy sessions into your treatment plan. These sessions allow you to reconnect with your loved ones and support system in a safe, caring atmosphere.
Overall, our goal is to help you achieve long-term sobriety and gain the tools needed to live a healthy, productive life in recovery. With our compassionate approach and comprehensive services, The Haven is always here to support you on your journey.
